(Eng. On literature, art and didactics. Dialogues old and new)

The articles collected in the book are united by the principle of the complementary reading of cultural texts, as well as the interpretive scrutiny of each of them. There are sections devoted to the rhetoric of the pictorial and literary image, philosophies of cultural texts, ways of building illusions in artistic works, the magic of: words, details, poetic phrases, forms, lines and artistic colours.

The presented issues cover: Polish Studies in the context of tradition and modernity, questions of axiology, the methodology of narrative reception in both literary text and painting message, and, finally, the issue of literature which is ‘difficult’ in educational discourse.

In Dialogues old and new, I seek answers to fundamental questions: who is the writer, the artist?, what is the world like?, whether and how can we read the sealed meanings, thoughts and fleeting moments of imagination of works of culture, art, philosophy? How do we capture the things ‘seen’ in poetry, and how do we tell the stories ‘written’ in painting?

The art of constructing a dialogue close to literary and visual works, and thus thinking, reading, looking, and describing images that lead to understanding and experience, is the main idea on which the narrative of this book is built.
