Międzyliteratura jako przestrzeń dialogu. Studia dedykowane pamięci Profesor Anny Pilch

(Eng. Interliterature as a space for dialogue. Studies dedicated to the memory of Professor Anna Pilch)

Interliterature is a collective volume dedicated to the memory of Professor Anna Pilch, but it has little in common with the classic form: the Festschrift. (…) The texts are characterised by their high cognitive value. They are not only an expression of homage and appreciation, but they are also linked by a thread of friendship based on shared interests, a similar way of thinking and empathising with the world, and solid ethical principles constituting the basis for reading.

From a review by prof. dr hab. Adam Dziadek

By placing us before the paintings of the great masters, Anna Pilch gave us a beautiful and valuable lesson in ethics and humanism. Thanks to her, our reading of the world became over time not only a journey through the mysteries of aesthetics, but also the space of human existence. This book is the form of returning what we ourselves have learned about the human being in relation to poetry and painting in our conversations with Anna Pilch and from her works. Here, dialogue has become a universal tool for finding and discovering the human being through literature, art and, finally, Polish Studies education conceived as broadly as possible as the shaping of an interpersonal community. This universal value of Anna Pilch’s humanist bond with art is most fully defined by interliterature. It creates a space of interdisciplinarity, multidimensionality, learning, conversations and encounters, negotiation of meanings, a continuous interplay of art and with art. It is what stretches between theory and interpretation, intuition and criticism or between method and practice. At the same time, it is a space of dialogue between the viewer and the text, between looking and observing and trying to make us savour the details and the particulars, that is, between reading, writing and the search for and production of meaning. Finally, it is the constant jittering and balancing between visuality and textuality. The statements in the volume have thus created a platform for the exchange of ideas between students, friends and colleagues, humanists and artists – and the ideas, theories, scientific proposals, interpretations and reading and painting which fascinated Anna Pilch.
