POLISHSTUDIES MIND_TECH

PolishStudies_MindTech is part of a multimodal approach to Polish Studies education, developed as part of OMBEiK’s research activities. Its basic element is the use of advanced technologies and digital environments in school and academic didactics, especially in working with literary texts and shaping new interpretative competences of pupils and students. PolishStudies_MindTech focuses mainly on technopaideia – education with the use of tools of information technology, but oriented towards the cognitive specificity of the humanities. As part of this approach, we promote the need to change the empirically-oriented model of how so-called high-tech schools operate, especially with regard to humanities subjects. We propose to move away from their scientisation, i.e. away from the STEAM model to HUM education, to use the potential of heritage sites, drift strategies and to increase the role of gamified classes in Polish Studies education.
