Adam Dziadek

prof. dr hab., he works at the Institute of Literary Studies of the University of Silesia in Katowice. He is engaged in theoretical literary studies, comparative studies, Men’s Studies, genetic criticism and translation of scientific works. He is the author of the following books: Rytm i podmiot w liryce Jarosława Iwaszkiewicza i Aleksandra Wata (Eng. Rhythm and subject in the poetry of Jaroslaw Iwaszkiewicz and Aleksander Wat) (Katowice 1999), Obrazy i wiersze. Z Zagadnień interferencji sztuk w polskiej poezji współczesnej (Eng. Images and poems. From the issues of the interference of arts in Polish contemporary poetry) (Katowice 2004 and 2011), Na marginesach lektury. Szkice teoretyczne (Eng. On the margins of reading. Theoretical sketches) (Katowice 2006), Obrazy i teksty. Interferencje i interpretacje (Eng. Images and texts. Interferences and interpretations) (Katowice 2007). In the National Library series, he published Wybór wierszy (Eng. A selection of poems) by Aleksander Watt (Wrocław 2008). He has published his dissertations in Pamiętnik Literacki, Teksty Drugie, Forum Poetyki, Przestrzenie Teorii, among others. He translated works by Roland Barthes, Jacques Derrida, Jean-Luc Nancy, Marc Augé, Clifford Geerz, Raewyn Connell, Daniel Ferrer. He has also published a Polish translation of Gérard Raulet’s book German Philosophy after 1945 (Warsaw 2013). In recent years, he has published Projekt krytyki somatycznej (Eng. Somatic criticism project) (Warsaw 2014), Notatniki Aleksandra Wata (Eng. Notebooks by Alexander Wat) (Warsaw 2015; co-edited with Jan Zieliński) and the Somatic Criticism Project in the English language (Frankfurt am Main 2018). As part of Polish National Science Centre research projects, he managed, among others, the Maestro 4 grant Masculinity in Polish literature and culture from the 19th century to the present day – the project resulted among others in the publication series Studies on Masculinity, published by the Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Science Press in Warsaw. He has been and still is a supervisor in the National Science Centre projects Fuga, Preludium. Since 2007, he has been a member of the editorial committee of Pamiętnik Literacki. He was also a member of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences and a member of the Committee on Literature Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

Małgorzata Gajak-Toczek

dr hab. Professor at the University of Lodz, Assistant Professor at the Department of Didactics of Polish Studies and Literature at the Faculty of Polish Studies, University of Lodz. She is interested in contemporary literature, its relations with other arts and the application of various methodological assumptions into school reality. She conducts research on school forms and methods of literary and cultural education in primary and secondary schools. Her own research interests focus on the tradition of Polish Studies didactics in the second half of the 19th century and on the textbook as an educational tool. Author of monographs: Franciszek Próchnicki, dydaktyk – edytor – badacz literatury (Eng. Serves as chair of the Editorial Committee of the publication series Projekty Komparatystyki (Universitas).

Agnieszka Kosińska

born in 1967 in Dębica, editor, author and curator of exhibitions of paintings and diaries of Józef Czapski and painters of his circle. Since 2017, she has been in charge of the Emeryk Hutten-Czapski Museum and the Józef Czapski Pavilion, branches of the National Museum in Kraków. She conducts meetings in the Pavilion within the author’s cycle of meetings Secret freedom (Pl. Swoboda tajemna). She debuted in 1991 in the magazine Dekada Literacka as a literary critic. In 1996-2004, secretary and collaborator of Czesław Miłosz. In 2004-2016, custodian of this Nobel Prize winner’s flat and archive in Kraków. Editor of his works, author of numerous studies of his oeuvre, including the first comprehensive bibliographical study Czesław Miłosz. Bibliografia druków zwartych (Eng. Czesław Miłosz. Bibliography of collected works) (2009); based on manuscripts she has published and compiled the following: Wiersze ostatnie (Eng. Last poems) (2006) and Góry Parnasu. Science-fiction (Eng. Mountains of Parnassus. Science-fiction) (2012) by Miłosz. Her most famous book is entitled: Miłosz w Krakowie (Eng. Miłosz in Kraków)(2015). Violetta Wejs-Milewska

prof. dr hab., literary scholar; head of the Department of Philological Interdisciplinary Research at the University of Bialystok. Her research interests include 20th century Polish literature, subject to interdisciplinary examination in terms of anthropology of cultural boundaries and psychosocial problems in situations of alienation, cultural discourse, methodology and theories in the humanities, as well as documentary studies, journalism, epistolography and history of radio.
