Joanna Hobot-Marcinek

dr hab. Professor at the Jagiellonian University, literature scholar, methodologist and theatrologist, employee of the Department of Polish Studies Teacher Training Education, head of the Centre for Multimodal Educational and Cultural Research (OMBEiK).

From 2015 to 2021 she was the head of the Multimodal Educational Strategies Workshop (PMSE) at the Faculty of Polish Studies at the Jagiellonian University. She is a long-time lecturer of the Postgraduate Rhetoric Study at the Faculty of Polish Studies at the Jagiellonian University and its head in the academic year 2007/2008. She is the head of research grants financed by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the Polish National Science Centre: The Dionysian Lady and the phantasmagoria of death (2007-2010) and Image of anus ebria et delirans in European culture (Middle Ages – 19th century) (2013-2016). She is a member of the Editorial Committee of the Figurae Series and the Narracje w eduk@cji Series of the Jagiellonian University Press. Currently Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Artes Liberales of the University of Warsaw and member of the team of the Centre for Multimodal Educational and Cultural Research (OMBEiK). Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Polish Studies of the Jagiellonian University until 2024. Member of the Academic Council of Culture and Religion Studies and Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Warsaw (2025-2028). From 2015 to 2021, secretary of the Multimodal Educational Strategies Workshop (PMSE) of the Faculty of Polish Studies at the Jagiellonian University. In 2017, coordinator of disciplines at the Polish National Science Centre. Since 2016, member of the Editorial Committee of the Figurae Series of the Jagiellonian University Press. doctor, literature scholar and didactics expert, Assistant Professor at the Department of Polish Studies Teacher Training Education, secretary of the website of the Centre for Multimodal Educational and Cultural Research (OMBEiK) and editor of website at the Faculty of Polish Studies at the Jagiellonian University and co-founder of the PolishStudies_MindTech platform. She coordinates the collaboration between the OMBEiK and: the Malopolska Science Centre Cogiteon, Faculty of Intermedia at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków and Museum of Photography in Kraków. doctor, literary scholar, methodologist with teaching experience, Assistant Professor at the Department of Polish Studies Teacher Training Education at the Faculty of Polish Studies at the Jagiellonian University. Employee of the Centre for Multimodal Educational and Cultural Research (OMBEiK). Member of the Editorial Committee of the Narracje w eduk@cji Series of the Jagiellonian University Press. During the 2016/2017 academic year, she acted as the head of the Multimodal Educational Strategies Workshop (PMSE) at the Faculty of Polish Studies of the Jagiellonian University. She took an active part in the Polish National Centre for Research and Development grant titled: Professional Polish Language and Literature Teacher. Practice and personalisation. She was responsible for the cooperation between the Faculty of Polish Studies and the National Museum in Kraków. Since 2019, she has been the supervisor of the Scientific Circle of Polish Studies Methodology. She delivers undergraduate and postgraduate MA courses. She has been the promotor of many BA and MA degrees.
